
Rachael Meador

Rachael Meador (soprano) is a vocalist, educator, composer/arranger and arts advocate. She is passionate about performance and musicology. Rachael is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland (MAT in K-12 Music, BA in Music). She has studied with renowned vocalists and teachers like Joan McFarland, Larry Vote, Olivia Vote, and Claire Galloway. Rachael has been a proud member of many vocal ensembles such as Ping (under the direction of Larry Vote) and Trinity Episcopal Church Choir (under the direction of Jennifer Wood). She has directed and appeared in staged productions such as Annie Jr (director), Finding Nemo Jr (director), Spring Awakening (Anna), Amahl & The Night Visitors (Shepherdess Dancer), and Dido and Aeneas (Belinda). She has collaborated with the St. Mary's College Orchestra, under the direction of Jeffrey Silberschlag, and has performed in the 15th Annual Alba Music Festival in Italy as well as at Carnegie Hall in 2019 with Distinguished Concerts Singers International. She has performed at the National Cathedral, has been a soloist for works such as Handel’s Messiah and Rutter's Requiem, and has been a featured singer for the River Concert Series. Rachael currently enjoys directing her choirs at Margaret Brent Middle School (of whom she’s very proud), teaching piano and voice lessons, studying new repertoire and techniques, and performing.
