Matthew Hinshaw

​Born and raised in Southern MD, Matt grew up in a musical family, singing as long as he can remember and learning the guitar at age 9. In grade school, Matt had interest in recording music he and his friends would create. This led him to an internship opportunity at Nightsky Recording studios, then eventually attending Full Sail University in Orlando, FL for recording arts. Matt has spent most of his adult life working in recording studios, on tour as a live sound engineer, or most recently; managing and running sound for large scale productions that occur in arenas and major festivals within our greater DC area. Matt plans to use his technical knowledge and network to enhance our organization's production value at events and fundraisers. He also will use his resources to help curate and install adequate systems to provide impactful sound reinforcement and stunning visuals for our proposed performing arts center.
